We are proud to share that 𝐀𝐧𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐕𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐥, a Project Coordinator with Acres’ Civil Department, was awarded her Iron Ring over the weekend at the Ritual of Calling of an Engineer ceremony.

Ann Mary pursued civil engineering and construction with the intention of fulfilling her great interest in buildings, architecture, and the meticulous processes of organization, planning and implementation that lead to the construction of structures.

“Growing up in Oman and further pursuing education from India, my notions and expectations around student life and dependence were very different to what one would expect in a North American country. I’m particularly proud of being able to adjust to such a dramatic change with rather seemingly little effort and successfully finishing a graduate degree from UBC. An invitation to be a part of the official Ritual of the Calling of an Engineer known as the Iron Ring Ceremony is something I am incredibly proud of!”
