THE PROJECT

This development project at Predator Ridge focused on transforming the area along Birdie Lake Road into a thriving community with 27 new lots. The project included a range of essential tasks from blasting and earthworks to road construction and utility installation.

Despite facing unexpected challenges, including difficult rock blasting conditions, the project was completed later than initially anticipated, but ultimately delivered a solid foundation for future growth. 

SCOPE OF WORK

• Mass Blasting: Conducted rock blasting to prepare the site for development, addressing unforeseen geological challenges.
• Earthworks: Excavation and grading to shape the land, ensuring optimal conditions for construction.
• Roadworks: Construction of the new Collector and L1 roads to provide essential access throughout the development.
• Utility Installation: Comprehensive installation of utilities, including water, sewer, and electrical systems to service the 27 lots.

The project, initially slated for completion by July 15, 2022, was finalized on November 30, 2022, following resolution of the blasting challenges.
