THE PROJECT

Acres led the design-build construction of this 18,000 sq.ft. pre-engineered steel building including mezzanine, office space, meeting rooms, lunchrooms, washrooms and related site works including utilities, paving, and site fencing.

During the design stage, special consideration was given to accommodate future tenant improvements. Acres’ team led the design process and held meetings to review design, stakeholder requirements, and constructability.

Considerations were given to materials and equipment, which delivered high quality while meeting project budgets. Three years later, the Client requested an additional contract
for Acres to complete the tenant space that was purposely left empty during original build.

This tenant improvement consisted of permitting, additional offices, concrete slab including radon piping, tie in to existing sanitary piping, supply and install of concrete staircase, and modifications to existing sprinkler systems including commissioning. A shop was constructed in the other half of the building, specific to the tenant’s requirements, this included electrical and mechanical consideration and upgrades.
