“For it is in giving that we receive.”
This year has proven to be a difficult one for us all, but for seniors who are already isolated, it’s been exceptionally hard. Christmas will certainly look different for them, many of whom are in long-term care facilities and cannot have visitors due to the times we’re living in.
We are very proud of our Acres team members who have been picking up items and getting their families involved as we work together to sponsor seniors through Centre for Seniors Information – CSI Kamloops and Seniors Outreach & Resource Centre.
Items that are greatly appreciated include, but are not limited to:
- Toques and mitts
- Socks and slippers
- Chocolates and cookies
- Puzzle books (such as crosswords and word searches)
- Hand sanitizer
- Lysol wipes
- Face masks
- Grocery store gift cards
We encourage YOU to also get involved and bring some holiday cheer to seniors in your community. It’s not just about making a donation, it’s about making a difference.
