The Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of your project. There is constant monitoring and adjustments that are required during any build to ensure that timelines, budgets, regulatory requirements, and customer needs are all met. Because of this, the position demands the ability to remain highly organized yet remaining flexible while operating within a highly dynamic environment.
𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧?
I’ve always been interested in the building process and prefer working in an environment where the results can be physically seen. When I started my career, I began in administrative work as that was what I felt I should do. However, as my career progressed, I found myself drawn in by the scale and tangibility of large-scale builds. The feeling I got from being involved in those projects, continued to pull me deeper into the build process.

It is not an easy position, but it’s extremely rewarding when a satisfied customer takes possession of their new building.

Don’t be afraid of previous mindsets around construction and embrace an industry that is constantly evolving. Be confident and embrace the challenges. If you’re willing push and challenge yourself, you will find that it is an extremely rewarding career choice.
